Medical Insurance
Employee Health Insurance
Comparing policies can feel overwhelming. I simplify the process, highlight what really matters, and help companies secure the best medical coverage for their teams.
Year :
2025
Industry :
Media
Project Duration :
2 weeks

Problem :
Most startups and mid-sized companies struggle with providing the right health benefits to employees. Either policies are too expensive, lack flexibility, or don’t cover the real needs of the team. Many founders also don’t have the bandwidth or expertise to compare multiple insurers, decode fine print, or negotiate better terms. This leaves employees underinsured and employers with limited options.

Solution :
I help companies navigate this space by understanding their team size, demographics, and budget, then shortlisting the best group medical insurance plans. I work with multiple insurers, compare benefits side by side, and highlight gaps that often get missed like maternity cover, pre-existing conditions, or wellness add-ons. My goal is simple: get employees the best coverage at the most practical cost, while giving employers clarity and peace of mind.

Challenge :
The tricky part is that no two policies are truly “like for like.” Insurers often package terms differently waiting periods, room rent limits, disease-specific caps which makes it hard to compare. Negotiating premiums for smaller teams is also a challenge, as insurers prefer larger groups. Balancing cost with meaningful coverage requires careful analysis and sometimes, creative structuring of benefits.
Summary :
With the right approach, medical insurance goes from being a cost burden to a strong employee value proposition. Companies I’ve worked with have not only secured better policies at lower costs but also seen improved trust and retention from their teams. For employees, it shows the company genuinely cares. For founders, it becomes one less headache to worry about.
